4 Digital Marketing Trends to be Aware of in 2021

Be prepared to take on 2021 with these key digital marketing trends that will elevate your online business.

We saw some significant digital trends crop up in 2020 mainly due to the pandemic. There was a major shift in consumer behavior as well as a digital transformation for most brick & mortar stores. This change will remain throughout 2021 as employees continue to work remotely and whole population immunization won’t be complete until later in the year.

We will discuss 4 digital marketing trends you can’t ignore in 2021 to engage and retain current customers and generate more traffic, leads, and revenue.

E-commerce Social Media on the Rise

As a result of stay-at-home orders, people are taking to social media to stay in touch with the world. Many social media platforms are including E-commerce capabilities which make the buyer experience more seamless. If you are able to connect with the consumers through good content and provide amazing promotions, you will see significant conversations. So, build your online community and provide relatable content.  I also recommend reading the Shopify future of commerce report which I’ll link to the blog.[https://bit.ly/3oNhRK6]

Optimize Content for Voice Search

Voice search is one of the fastest-growing types of search. Over 50% of people use voice search to ask questions on smartphones and an increasing number of households have voice devices such as Google, Siri, and Alexa.

Although not yet a ranking factor on Google, we predict that it will be soon. To stay ahead of the game, ensure Keywords are longer and conversational, formatted as in answering a question, make sure to include FAQ’s for your product page and blog.

Interactive Content

Consumers are looking for on-the-go, bite-sized entertainment, that’s a big reason why video content receives the most engagement on posts. So, invest in video content to further engage your audience.

Be Familiar with Core Web Vitals

They will be part of Google’s ranking factor starting May 2021 This means you have to seriously consider optimizing the page speed experience to avert any ranking drop. Our team member Jamsheed discussed this in more detail in our last episode

The bottom line, your focus should be on creating a unique and optimized customer experience that nurtures relationships and strengthens brand loyalty.  Thanks for tuning in, and wishing you a safe and hopeful 2021.
